Often referred to as the "Best Restaurant in the Northwest”, Our award winning restaurant located to the front of the hotel over looking the rugged Donegal Coast, on the northwest of Ireland, maximises the impact of the dramatic view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the ruins of McSwyne's Castle (floodlit at night) and an open fire makes for real warmth in this unspoilt location, even in winter.
Head Chef Remy Dupuy has been head of the kitchen in Castle Murray since 1994. There is a consisent house style, with a strong emphasis on local produce. On our menus, there is plenty to choose from including vegetarian dishes. Seafood is our speciality in the summer months. Remy has dedicated fishermen who fish lobster, monk, scallops and other fish for him. Our House Special Starter Prawns & Monkfish cooked in Garlic Butter topped with Mozzarella is
almost World Famous by now. In winter, when seafood is less plentiful, there are more red meats, poulty and game offered.
