Over the years of searching the history of St. John’s Point, we came across an old map of the North West Coast of Donegal, Ireland. On this little treasure, we discovered that several Scottish Clans from the 15th century had claimed & fought for their town lands of St. John’s Point dating back in history.
Over the period of time and overlooking McSwyne’s Bay, Castle Murray House Hotel made history once again. Our little hidden gem is just on the hill overlooking the ruins that remain a prominent feature to this day. All our bedrooms are named after the town lands of St. John’s Point and that is our tribute in keeping history alive.
Our family rooms in the hotel consist of a double & single bed with a cot. For additional children, the hotel provides camps beds which can be set up on request. Also in our family rooms, we have a dvd player's which is for guest's use and is free of charge. Movies available on request.
All room have en-suites (some with full bath) and facilities including digital TV, tea/coffee trays, hairdryer and direct dial telephone. For special occasions, we can have flowers, champagne etc. arranged on arrival. Our Bedrooms are non-smoking.
Rooms are located on the 1st & 2nd floor of the hotel. Most of our rooms have a staggering sea views, taking in St. John's Point and McSwynes Bay. The hotel does not have a lift, but staff will assist with luggage to the rooms if necessary.
The hotel offers private and free hotel parking to all our guests.
If there are any special requirements such as flowers, champagne or homemade Castle Murray House "Chocolat" in the room for arrival, then do not hesitate to ask and we will be more than happy to make your stay extra special.
